The TROLINING trenchless pipe rehabilitation system is based on various HDPE liner components which can be combined in a wide range of alternative configurations. The heart of the system is the Troliner with its V-shaped embedment studs. The annular void created by the studs is filled with TROLINING Injektor, a specially engineered injection grout. This high-strength grout fixes the Troliner permanently in place and provides the load-bearing shell of the system. The system is suitable for lining of pipes ranging from 10 to 80 inch (or 250 to 2000 mm) I. D., regardless of whether the line cross-section rehabbed is circular, egg-shaped or a special geometry.
Segmental lining sheets are offered for rehabilitation of lines greater than 80 inch (or 2000 mm) I. D. and of elbows and corners in man-sized lines.
Basic System
The heart of the TROLINING pipe rehabilitation system is the Troliner, an
HDPE liner with specially designed embedment studs on its outer surface.
Following fabrication and QC testing in the production plant, the Troliner is transported to the site and drawn into the host line, providing a smooth inner surface which is ideal for fluid conduction. The annular void between the host pipe surface and the Troliner is filled with TROLINING injection grout, the "TROLINING Injektor". The grout permeates into the existing surface, completely filling voids caused by cracks, loose fragments and deteriorated joints of sewers. The direct full-surface bond between the Troliner and the host pipe surface ensures secure placement and also prevents thermal expansion as encountered in conventional polyethylene liners.
In steel and reinforced concrete pipelines, the grout provides further benefits as its alkalinity provides effective protection against corrosion.
Preliner System
With the TROLINING Preliner System, a Preliner which is smooth on both sides is inserted into the line prior to installation of the studded Troliner.
This creates a defined annular void volume which is sealed on its inner and outer surfaces, permitting exact definition of the injection grout volume required to fill the system wall. The Preliner System is used in rehabilitation of lines with lateral connections to prevent obstruction or closure of the laterals with the grout. If the pipe to be rehabilitated is near or below groundwater level, the Preliner System is required to ensure dilution-free grouting.
Encapsulating the rehabilitated line, the Preliner effectively prevents inward seepage of groundwater, rainwater run-off as well as chemical pollutants.
